Great location! Positive: The biggest highlight of this accommodation is undoubtedly its fantastic location! It is right next to Reading Terminal Market and City Hall, within walking distance of the main streets, major attractions, shops, and restaurants. Everything is easily accessible on foot, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. It also offers great value for money and is spacious and comfortable enough for a short stay for a group of six people. Overall, a great choice for a city break! Negative: The property was a little dated and like many older buildings, there were stairs, which made carrying luggage and shopping bags a bit inconvenient. However, the main issue was the building’s main entrance door, which we simply couldn’t lock despite following all the instructions provided. Even another resident and a cleaner who happened to pass by were unable to lock it. This was quite frustrating and raised some security concerns.

The property was very clean inside, which was great! However the bathroom sink cold water knob was completely broken so we only had the hot water there and the shower pressure was very low. The single bedroom had 2 beds but its a small room and the bed blocked the bedroom door so it cant close all the way. I feel bad writing this because the host was great. But the alley entrance had a dumpster right outside the door that smelled and the entrance hallway was really dirty and had trash all over. The proximity to the Convention Center was the best feature and so convenient. I think it would be good for a street savvy guest to stay for a work conference.

Super clean & great location Positive: Charming apartment. Upgraded & super clean. Hotel quality linen & a generous amount of towels. Premium location. Owner responds promptly to messages. 2 min walk to Trader Joe's for groceries. On 3rd floor so keep that in mind if you have heavy baggage.

Comfortable and convenient stay. Positive: Obviously location is excellent, it’s just a shame that centre city locations involve walking out in the morning and seeing people asleep on the ground (clearly not in any way the fault of the property). I also liked the space, the style, the kitchen facilities and seating area, plus air con was a huge bonus. Negative: There’s no lift so carrying heavy suitcases up stairs after a long journey can be strenuous, there’s a broken tap in the bathroom sink, and the walls are very thin so watching tv (even with the sound turned to minimum) or having a conversation during the quiet hours is likely to cause an issue with the neighbours. Although the kids having a party one floor down didn’t seem to mind. For example, I was woken early by the neighbour leaving their flat. I could tell they were trying to do it as quietly as possible, but the ‘clunk’ of the locking mechanism echoed through the hard surfaces of the corridors and straight into my ears. It didn’t bother me because I fall back to sleep, no problem, but if you’re a light or difficult sleeper you might have an issue.
