Disappointing Positive: Location good. Size of apartment good. Negative: Inadequate lighting and electrical outlets. The refrigerator, stovetop and 1 of 3 outlets in the kitchen weren’t working. We were asked by the owner to go down to a poorly lit basement and flip the breaker switch (!!!) the box appeared to be locked. We had plans for dinner and left, while the owner asked us to try again in the basement. Not our job. At 8 am a man showed up to fix the kitchen. Fine, but there is no lighting in the kitchen area except the window which looks out on a poorly maintained brick building. The keypad on the apartment door malfunctioned that evening and the next morning. We brought our laptops, etc. to breakfast with us and hoped our things would be there when we returned. They were. The building itself is not well maintained and shoddy. If you feel at home in a slum, this is for you.

I would have given it 2-3 stars, however, the response from the rental property contact has caused me to give it 1 star.I let the contact know:-Uncleared snow on the sidewalk and steps leading up to the property. The neighbors’ property was clear of snow.-significant water damage on the walls in the bathroom-A broken threshold, leading into the bathroom with a screw sticking up 1/4”, tore my sock and almost cut my foot. -Deadbolt at the front door looked like it had been poorly repaired from a forced entry
